Infertility benefits now available!
We’ve partnered with Carrot to provide participants and covered spouses with inclusive fertility, and family-building benefits — including funds to help pay for eligible care.*
Participants and their covered spouses will be eligible for the coverage of in-network medically necessary infertility benefits through Carrot, a comprehensive network of infertility treatment benefit providers.
Covered infertility benefits and prescription drugs obtained from Carrot providers will be covered with no cost share up to the family lifetime maximum of $30,000.
The benefits may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Intrauterine Insemination (“IUI”)
- In Vitro Fertilization (“IVF”)
- Semen analysis
- Genetic testing related to fertility
- Short term storage costs for eggs, sperm, and/or embryos as part of infertility treatment
- Short term fertility preservation for males and females (i.e., freezing eggs or semen if the Participant or their covered spouse is scheduled to undergo a procedure that may result in loss of fertility, such as radiation or chemotherapy)
- Fertility medication
In order to access these benefits, you must use the Carrot network. You (or your covered spouse) must have a diagnosis of infertility from a physician in order to be eligible for this benefit.

*Some Carrot features are only available to individuals with an Infertility diagnosis. Only expenses related to a medical diagnosis of infertility or medical necessity are eligible for financial coverage. Infertility diagnoses are only determined by eligible medical providers; neither Carrot nor the SAG-AFTRA Health Plan can determine whether a member has an infertility diagnosis.
